Dental

You have two Dental plan options through MetLife—the Core Plan and the Buy-Up Plan.

MetLife Core Plan

This plan provides dental services at a percentage of the cost, after you meet the deductible. You will pay less when you use an in-network dental provider. The plan covers Preventive Care at 100%. Benefits are also paid for Basic Services (oral surgery and periodontics) and Prosthodontics (for example, bridgework) up to an annual maximum of $1,000. No benefits are paid for orthodontics.

MetLife Buy-Up Plan

This plan also pays benefits equal to a percentage of the cost, after you meet the deductible. Preventive Care is covered at 100%.The Buy-Up Plan covers all the same benefits as the Core Plan, plus coverage for implants. Annual maximum coverage is $1,500 compared to the $1,000 coverage maximum in the Core Plan. It also covers orthodontia for both adults and children.
