Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment for 2026-2027 has ended. Here’s what’s new beginning Oct. 1, 2026.
Open Enrollment
As we prepare for this year’s Open Enrollment, we are pleased to introduce enhancements designed to keep our benefits competitive, affordable, and aligned with the needs of our workforce.
Updates for 2026-2027
You will continue to have the same benefit plan choices and coverage levels that you have today. There are no changes to deductibles, coinsurance, copays, or out-of-pocket maximums under the medical, dental, and vision plans for the 2026-2027 plan year.
Despite continued increases in healthcare costs, employee medical and dental premium contributions will remain unchanged for the 2026-2027 plan year. This reflects our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, affordable benefits that support the health and well-being of our team members and their families.
Tidelands Health Medical Plan Network Update
We recently expanded medical plan coverage to include all MUSC providers in the Tidelands Health medical plan network (Tier 1). Beginning Oct. 1, 2026, we are excited to announce all MUSC facilities will be added to Tier 1. These enhancements reflect our continued partnership with MUSC Health and provide employees and their covered family members with broader access to care and a more seamless healthcare experience across our integrated health system.

Get Ready to Enroll
This is your chance to enroll in benefits for the 2026-2027 plan year. All elections made during Open Enrollment will be effective Oct. 1, 2026. Use this checklist to help you prepare:
- Enroll on Your Own. It’s easy to enroll on your own! Log into Workday and look for your Open Enrollment task, review each benefit along with the guided instructions, confirm your selections and submit.
- Meet with a Benefits Counselor. The benefit counselor can answer questions and guide you through enrollment – you will still need to enroll through Workday.
View the schedule here. - Update your beneficiaries for life insurance when you enroll. To update your 403(b) beneficiaries, contact Lincoln Financial Group.
- Provide proof of eligibility if you add dependents during Open Enrollment. View required documentation.
- Review your Summary (Confirmation Statement) and notify [email protected] before Aug. 31, 2026 if you need to make any corrections.
Important!
- You will need to verify your tobacco status when you enroll.
- You must also verify spousal status. If you add a spouse to your Tidelands Health medical coverage who has access to health insurance through his/her employer, you will need to pay a spousal surcharge. This surcharge does not apply if your spouse is also employed by Tidelands Health.
- If you add a new dependent to benefits for the first time or to existing coverage, you must provide the required eligibility documentation and attach it to your Workday enrollment.
- If you want a Health Care or Dependent Daycare FSA in 2026-2027, you must actively enroll in one during Open Enrollment. These don’t carry over to the next year.
If you have questions, please contact your Tidelands Health benefits team at [email protected].
How to Enroll
To enroll for benefits, complete the enrollment task through Workday.
Note: To enroll in Whole Life Insurance, you must enroll with a Benefits Counselor.
Adding Dependents During Open Enrollment
Date of Birth and SSN are required for spouse and children covered under Tidelands Health benefits. To add a dependent, follow the instructions on Workday.
Don’t Miss the Deadline
If you don’t do anything during Open Enrollment, your current benefit elections will continue in 2026-2027, with the exception of health care and dependent daycare FSAs – these require new elections each Open Enrollment. You won’t be able to enroll or make changes to your benefits until the next annual Open Enrollment, unless you experience a qualifying life event.
Review Your Summary (Confirmation Statement)
When you complete your enrollment transaction, you will be able to review and print or download your confirmation statement. Please be sure to review your confirmation statement carefully.
